Eastman™ MTBHQ
Application/Uses
- Antioxidant - Inhibitor - Polymerization inhibitor - Stabilizer
Product Description
Eastman™ MTBHQ (mono t-butyl hydroquinone) is a light tan solid. Eastman™ MTBHQ is used primarily as a polymerization inhibitor and industrial antioxidant. Its higher solubility and increased potency at higher temperartures combine to make it more useful in many applications than unsubstituted hydroquinone. The hindered hydroxyl group also makes Eastman™ MTBHQ an interesting organic intermediate.
